I first met Paul and Carla through a skype chat and then when they came to Florence in April, five months before their wedding. We shared immediate sympathy, despite the pouring rain while we visited the villa. But as it often happens, when it rains during the visit, the wedding day is sunny and gorgeous, as their guests found out, under the early September scorching sun. Paul and Carla selected three readings, one of which is a quotation from Bob Marley’s, He’s not perfect. Actually I think the original goes She’s not perfect, I suspect Carla intervened in changing the pronoun!
I would like to add a little note on this couple’s parents, they confirmed to be a firm support to Carla and Paul, but never interfered in their children’s decisions. It’s lovely to see such harmony, and it was lovely to see that there was not a dry eye at the ceremony.
