A same-sex wedding in a symbolic ceremony celebrated in a beautiful Tuscan farmhouse
Marlo contacted me in 2011; to marry her partner Shelley, she was looking for an unusual farmhouse, secluded, off the beaten path. I immediately thought of Torremozza, and Marlo approved my choice from the very start. Marlo and Shelley got married in May, not the nicest day unfortunately, but they made it sunny and special despite the rain. Antonella did Shelley’s hair and make-up while Marlo ironed her shirt, and David Bastianoni happily snapped away, always in his fun, unobtrusive way.
For their ceremony, Marlo and Shelley selected the ribbon ritual and while exchanging their rings, they read the vows they had written that morning.
The sun finally came out after the ceremony, and David took amazing shots of these gorgeous girls. Shelley and Marlo had some cards to use in the pictures, to acknowledge their friends and loves ones. David’s playfulness inspired their fun and charming poses. I have truly amazing memories of this wedding!
