Wedding at Villa Catignano… the Greatest Day!!

Jo from Tuscan Pledges was our celebrant when we held our symbolic ceremony at Villa Catiganano on 24/10/23.
She was warm and friendly and appeared so happy to be working with us. She gave us ‘homework’ pre ceremony so that she would understand us and our relationship better. We were sceptical. But we did it and it was a wonderful way to capture the essence of our relationship in the ceremony. On the day she was professional and understated and helped fill the room with love and joy. We had the pleasure of working with Tuscan Pledges for our wedding at the Villa Medicea in Lilliano on 30.5.24 and we couldn’t recommend them more highly! We worked with Jo and Janneke who were able to deliver exactly what we hoped for: an extremely personal ceremony that allowed our guests to get an image of our love. Having Italian and English-speaking guests, Jo and Janneke wrote parts of the ceremony in both languages to honor both our families. During the preparation, Jo sent us questions about our relationship that were really fun to answer and helped us reflect on our story so that it was much easier to write personal vows as well. She met us several times via zoom, which gave us the feeling that she really knew us as a couple. It is obvious that they are the reference celebrants in Tuscany because all our suppliers, organizers, and the villa knew them and worked with them many times, which made us even more confident in their abilities. Janneke was our celebrant and did a great job delivering a personalized, emotional and thoughtful ceremony. We had to delay the ceremony due to rain and were a bit worried and stressed, but Janneke’s calming presence immediately helped us relax and enjoy the moment. We cried throughout the event and I am sure that our guests did the same: we received so many comments that this was the best ceremony they had ever been a part of. Everyone has been raving about her delivery at the ceremony, even months later. We were so fortunate to work with the Tuscan Pledges team. We honestly could not have asked for a better celebrant.

We hired Sofia to officiate our elopement in Tuscany, and we honestly could not have asked for a better celebrant. Our ceremony was so personalized and touching, that my husband asked for me to request a transcript of our ceremony, for him to keep and be able to revisit whenever we wanted. Sofia was so warm and welcoming, it felt like we had known her for years prior, even though we had only met in person on the day of our elopement. I could not recommend Sofia and the rest of Tuscan Pledges for anyone’s ceremony; the person that officiates your ceremony can make or break the whole experience and day, and Sofia made our day even more memorable than we could have imagined. What a wonderful service and day!

Lisa and I were looking for an Officiant to have a ceremonial wedding in Tuscany. We contacted Jo about the possibility, and she was terrific right from the start. Jo matched us up with Francesca, who we adored. She was both professional, and personable at the same time. To start with, we are from Canada and brought a party of 14 with us. This service made it easy for us to make it happen with as little hassle as possible. Jo recommended the florist, helped create our vows, and at the end, helped us communicate with the restaurant we liked, and needed help organizing. Our Venue was an old monastery/winery building in Marcialla, it turned out to be a perfect location! We could all walk to the restaurant after the service, and enjoy an amazing dinner. We feel that some of the perks of working with Tuscan Pledges were them knowing the ritual, organizing the pledges, and giving us contacts for peripheral services, then helping with the communications. We would not hesitate recommending Tuscan Pledges for your wedding Officiant services!

Highly recommend Tuscan Pledges for your ceremony in Italy. Sofia from Tuscan Pledges was amazing, our guests even mentioned how beautiful the ceremony she led was. My husband and I got married in Bucine, Tuscany in September 2023, and hired Sofia from Tuscan Pledges and we could not be happier that we did. Our wedding guests were mostly Spanish speakers, so we hired Sofia for our wedding ceremony as she speaks spanish. Sofia met with us a couple times before our big day to get to know us and also explain how the ceremony could work, offering us many different options to go off of. Sofia also was in constant communication with us before our big day to make sure the ceremony script was perfect. We felt an instant connection with Sofia over our couple conversations before our big day and felt that same beautiful connection they day of our wedding, she made us feel like we knew her for a long time. We found Jo through our wedding planner in Tuscany and she is the sweetest, most wonderful person to work with. She was so easily to speak to while we were planning the wedding, and our initial Zoom consultation was very thorough and easy. She then sent us a questionnaire to fill out in order to personalize our ceremony, which I loved! She also has a lot of ideas about the ceremony, and she has ritual and very thoughtful ring vow examples ready too. Whether you know exactly what you want for your ceremony, or you’re totally lost with no ideas, Jo will work with you through it all. Fast forward to the actual ceremony – she is one of the sweetest, warmest people I have ever met. All of our guests agreed she had the warmest demeanor and most calming voice – we could listen to her speak forever! We loved working with Jo and Camilla: they helped us design a truly unique and beautiful ceremony. It started pouring rain during our outdoor ceremony and Camilla was so calm and professional – we ended up delaying the ceremony by about 30 minutes so it could stop, and she was so kind and understanding about the whole thing. You were an absolute pleasure to work with, gave us the warmest welcome, in the midst of a busy morning you came in so organized with ease, and handled the strong winds and falling flower vase at the altar so graciously. Jo was a beautiful soul and we appreciate everything she did for us on our special day in Agriturismo Terre di Nano. We included our family members in our ceremony in many different ways that Jo was so accommodating to. It was very important to us to incorporate certain aspects of our life into our special day and our wants in the lead up to the ceremony was spoken about with Jo and nothing was dismissed or invalidated. Jo’s expertise shone through when she met myself (the bride) early in the day and spoke calmly with me about my family members involvement whilst I was getting ready. Our wedding ceremony was perfect, thanks to Sofia

Sofia was the perfect addition to our wedding at Castello Di Volognano in September 2023. She is a warm, engaging and helpful; and delivered our ceremony with gentleness, sentiment and a touch of humour. Together with our children, we loved participating in the sand ritual – a beautiful touch, and the opportunity to seamlessly include my mother and our close friend to provide readings. Being from Australia, we liaised with Sofia over email and video call in the lead up to our wedding. On the day of our wedding, Sofia met with us both separately to make sure we were comfortable with the plans. Thank you for making our day so special Sofia. We recently had our destination

We recently had our destination wedding in Tuscany and hired Tuscan Pledges to officiate our ceremony. Sofia was our officiant and she was absolutely incredible. We truly appreciated her presence and genuine extension of love towards us during this very important day in our lives. We have received so many compliments about how great of a job Sofia did being the officiant at our ceremony. She captured our love story perfectly through her words and navigated bringing together two different cultures seamlessly (I’m from the US and my husband is from Denmark). We will cherish this special moment for the rest of our lives. Sofia was a huge part in making the moment extra special and ensuring our ceremony went smoothly as well as truly encapsulated our love for each other.

Sofia was kind and professional

My wedding planner introduced us to Tuscan Pledges for our ceremony and that is when we were connected with Sophia. She set up a zoom call right away to meet us and go over everything, I knew instantly that she was going to do an amazing job for us. She was kind and professional. She sent us a questionnaire to fill out individually for her to be able to customize our ceremony. We picked our own ritual with her help and she sent me a lot of readings to chose from when I needed help finding some. When the ceremony time came it’s hard to find the words for how perfect it truly was. Sophia was so warm and sweet. The ceremony flowed beautifully, she had captured us perfectly as a couple and there was not a dry eye there. The ceremony is such a crucial part of the day and I am so glad we had Sophia there to carry us through it. I cannot thank her enough!

Our experience with Tuscan Pledges was nothing short of fantastic from start to finish. Jo and the team are so responsive to emails and answered all of our questions so quickly. Janneke conducted our ceremony and it was truly perfect, she used the information we had given her to create the most amazing ceremony for us, her energy and kindness radiated throughout and completely put us at ease during the exciting but nervous moments! We were so pleased with Tuscan pledges. We had a small intimate elopement and I think Francesca really made a good job of making it feel very special and grand. We also appreciated that the ceremony was symbolic and non-religious which is exactly what we wanted. I cried the whole time, the words spoken were so beautiful.

We are thankful for Sofia!

We had the pleasure to work with Sofia for our intimate wedding. Since we organized everything remotely, we scheduled a video call with Sofia and she answered all of our questions. We are a bilingual family and she was able to communicate in Spanish perfectly. She was extremely helpful, professional and organized, prior and during the ceremony. She engaged with all guests, but mainly she was able to communicate the correct message of our love story, based on the answers we had shared with her. We both wanted to say a huge thank you for providing such a beautiful ceremony for us on Saturday. It was exactly what we wanted, fun and romantic all in one, truly perfect. It was also noted how professional you were, especially with the mic playing up!
So pleased we got to do it with the Tuscan hill views. I also understand it was your suggestion to add the flowers to the signing table, thank you for that, I did notice it when I got to the altar and wondered where they came from, it looked beautiful.

Thank you so much Jo for the service you provided for us on Friday 27th September at Castello Del Trebbio.

You listened to all of our requests and made every second of the service full of love and fun. Many guests commented on what a great uplifting ceremony it was and there were very few dry eyes during!

The process from the beginning was so easy and enjoyable for us. We loved the questionnaire element too, we realised we were more compatible than we thought!

Just incredible

All we can say is that Jo went above and beyond our expectations ! From the start we were very nervous choosing an officiant whom we had never met prior however Jo felt like family from day 1! She was so thorough getting to know all about our lives, how we met, what made us the couple we are. Throughout the way including choosing the ceremony , special ways to make our ceremony different and even a voluntary questionnaire she sent us it was just incredible. Jo showed up to our special day early by making sure everyone knew exactly what they needed to do . Jo even helped fix my veil during the ceremony since none of our bridal party was with us.
